Association of American Hockey League Booster Club’s  2009 Convention Press Release

The 45^th annual Association of American Hockey League Booster Club’s Convention will be held on September 11^th-13^th, 2009 at the Marriott Hunt Valley Inn http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/bwihv-baltimore-marriott-hunt-valley-inn located in Hunt Valley, Maryland a Baltimore suburb and hosted by the Baltimore Bandits Booster Club. The Friday dinner theme will be The Wide World of Sports. Baltimore was the home of the late host of ABC’s Wide World of Sports, Jim McKay. We are pleased to say the pricing is again very affordable for this year’s event. Start to make your plans as registration forms will be available through your club in early March. Hunt Valley, Maryland is the home to the McCormick Spice plant so the air outside the hotel is filled with wonderful scents. In an attempt to keep pricing affordable, we chose to host the convention in a suburb of Baltimore. However, we will be running side trips downtown using the light rail transit system that has a station located right near out hotel. A reason this is coming out later than usual is that we are developing the shirt design now so that you could order any shirts when submitting your registration form. This will make sure we have proper sizing and not be stuck with a lot of left over shirts after the convention. Also, the cut off date for early arrival reservations is August 10, 2009, no exceptions will be made. If you miss this date, you will have to pay the full room rate for early arrivals. You can cancel early arrival rooms without penalty up until the day before arrival, so make sure you reserve your early arrival rooms before the cutoff date. Early arrival reservation instructions will be listed on the registration form. So without further adieu, here are the prices for this year’s event. Early arrival rooms are priced at $109.44. This prices INCLUDES TAX!!! Parking for this year’s event is free and available in ground parking lots. Convention pricing is per person based on room occupancy and includes all taxes and gratuities.
